The Tool Reports provide insights into each tool in EngagementHQ. For each tool, you can look at data from specific projects, relevant tags, and a custom date range.

While you can use the Survey Tool Report to download responses, surveys can be very complex, so we have a dedicated Survey Analysis section for survey insights.

Accessing Tool Reports

To see your Tool Reports:

  1. Go to Reporting > Tool Reports in the main menu and choose the relevant tool from the list.

  2. Use the drop-down menus to choose your Projects and date range and select Update.

    select projects dropdown menu expanded
  3. Your tool data will appear in the Overview, Demographics, Visitor Statistics, and Insights sections.

You can expand the Selected Projects section to review your included projects.

Overview

The Overview section summarizes your tool, including statistics for the tools published, contributions, and contributors.

The visitor summary on the right will display the number of visitors, contributors, and submissions, and whether the users were admin, registered participants, unverified or anonymous. You can choose to view these statistics for all instances of the tool or use the dropdown menu to choose one.

Please note that Contributors refers to the number of individual users that have contributed. This number may differ from the Contributions, as one user may contribute multiple times.

You will also see an Engagement Summary bubble graph. The bubble's size represents the number of submissions, while the location on the vertical axis is the number of visitors to the tool. The horizontal axis indicates when the tool was published, and the bubbles are color-coded to indicate tool status.

Selecting a bubble will show the details of that tool, and you can use the hamburger icon on the top right to download the graph.

Demographics

In the Demographics section, you can choose any Signup Form Question to see demographic insights about registered users who contributed to your tool. If you don’t use registration or use unverified participation, there will be no data here.

Switch between the Overview tab to see the graphical representation and the Responses tab to see a list view. You can use the hamburger icon to download the graph if required.

Visitor Statistics

The Visitor Statistics displays information about the visitors, contributors, and submissions for each specified tool in the selected projects.

The statistics shown here can differ between tools. For example, while the Survey Visitor Statistics show the count of Responses and Responses by Admins, the Ideas Visitors Statistics will also show the number of Likes and Comments.

Insights

The tool Insights section is customized for each tool so you can see the most relevant data. For example, the Quick Poll Insights shows how each respondent answered your poll, while the Places Insights is much more complex.
