The News Categories widget allows you to filter through the articles in your Newsfeed. The details on how to add a news article via the Tools section and create a category are covered in the article Add News Articles. Once you have created articles in your feed and added tags to categorize them, you can then display these categories in your widget area by adding the News Categories widget.

The following steps describe how to set up the News Categories widget on your EngagementHQ page:

Click on the Projects link on the side menu bar and select your project from the list displayed.

This displays the project screen of the selected project. Click on the Add Widgets button.

A list of widgets is displayed on a draw from the right of the screen. Widgets help to add additional information about the project, making it easier for participants to self-educate and explore issues in depth. Click on News Categories to add the News categories widget, as shown below. 

This displays the News Categories page. The News Categories widget automatically adds a list of categories from your published news articles. 

You have successfully added the News Categories widget to your project. It is now published on the project page.

Click on the drop-down menu and select Hide if you do not want the News Categories widget to be displayed in the published project. Select the bob symbol to permanently delete the News Categories widget from your project.
