This page allows you to easily show your projects in a visual grid and is a great way to build trust and transparency with your community. It is highly recommended that you add a link to this page in your main navigation to capture all of your engagement projects over time.
It also has the added effect of forcing you to clean up your closing-the-loop practices and ensuring that all past projects are archived with project outcomes updated on each project page.
To setup your All Projects page use the following steps;
- Navigate to the Site Management > Navigation section of your admin interface.
- Click on Add Link to Menu
- From the dropdown menu, select the All Projects option. Fill in a custom title for your new menu item. This might be "All projects" or another menu title of your choosing.
- Click on Save to add the new link to your navigation menu
You have now successfully added the All Projects page to your navigation menu.
Understanding the page elements
The All Projects page is a single page showcasing all your published and archived projects in one list. It shows a projects status, an image and the project title. Protected projects and Community panel projects are not shown. It allows the user to search for project or filter by their status.
Four projects display on the same row and are ordered by date published. The newest project will show at first place in the top left corner.
Where do the images come from?
The images are sourced in the below order and displayed at a size of 200 by 170 pixels. If the first option is not available, the second is chosen, if that is not available the third or fourth will be picked.
- The project image.
- Any image in the project description
- The project banner
- The site banner
We recommend you use square images in your projects to be displayed nicely on this page.
Where do I find this page?
If you do not want to use the menu item for All Projects as explained above you can always navigate to this page by adding /projects to your site's URL.
For example: demonstration.engagmenthq.com/projects
This means the page does not need to be enabled in any settings, but you can choose to use it by simply linking through to the page. If you don't want to use it, simply ignore it.
This page can NOT be made your homepage.
Can I customise the page?
No, the page comes as it is. You can change the images by uploading new images into your projects.
