To use tracking codes, pixels, or other third-party custom code snippets, you must add them to the <head> or <body> tags for your entire EngagementHQ site.
Site Admins can add code snippets from third-party apps and vendors into the Custom Code section of their Site Settings.
Before you add any external code snippets, please note the following:
We cannot guarantee that external code snippets will behave as expected. Custom code modifications may result in unexpected issues for your site, including display problems and security or privacy risks. They may also be incompatible with future releases to the platform.
While our support team can assist with adding or removing the code snippet to your site, Granicus does not support third-party code snippets. If you are experiencing issues with your site after adding the code, please remove it and refresh your site. You must contact the external vendor for help troubleshooting the code snippet.
The custom code fields support valid tags only, including meta, style, script, comment, and link; other codes will appear as plain text in the header or body. These fields will not support <a> or <noscript> anchor tags.
Add Custom Code to Site Settings
Go to Site Settings > Custom Code.
Paste the external code for the header into the Adding code to <head> field. This may be scripts for chatbots or widgets; generally, the third-party vendor will provide instructions for which tag the code must go into.
Paste external code for the body into the Adding code snippet to page body field.
Save your changes.
Code snippets added to the header or body tags will be used across all participant-facing pages, including your homepage, hubs, projects, tools, widgets, static pages, sign-in, and registration pages.
If you need assistance adding or removing code, please contact our support team via chat or email support@engagementhq.com.
If the code is not working as expected, please contact the vendor that provided the snippet.
