EngagementHQ newsletters provide various editing options when drafting the body of your newsletter. One of the elements in the text editor is the Code View option. Code View allows you to add and edit HTML in your newsletters.

For example, you can use the Share features for surveys to embed an emoji question into your newsletters.

We recommend editing in HTML only if you are familiar with HTML. If you have some experience using HTML, you can use Code View to enhance the design of your newsletter or add third-party content.

To use Code View:

  1. Go to Newsletters and select one to edit it or select Create Newsletter.

  2. In the Create section, add the Subject line and use the text editor to draft the body of your newsletter.

  3. Select < > to enter Code View.

  4. Make your edits in HTML or paste in a code snippet.

  5. Select < > again to exit Code View.

  6. Save & Preview your changes.

If you’re happy with the design, you can add recipients and send your newsletter as normal.
