Many organizations have a brand to which they must adhere to, including logos and other images. You can easily update these in the Appearance Editor for your site, and you can upload the following:

Logo

Your logo will appear on your home and project pages, EngagementHQ newsletters, and site notifications. To upload a logo:

  1. Go to Appearance > Logo, Icons & Images.

  2. Under Logo, select Upload and open your logo file from your PC.

  3. Select Preview to check how your logo looks on your site.

The ideal dimensions for a logo are 150px x 50px, and you can upload the following file types: JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF.

Favicon

A favicon is a small icon that displays in the browser tab or window and the user's list of bookmarks next to the site name. To upload a favicon:

  1. Go to Appearance > Logo, Icons & Images.

  2. Under Favicon, select Upload and open your favicon file from your PC. Your favicon will save automatically.

  3. You can check your favicon by opening your site in a new browser tab or window.

We recommend using a PNG file no larger than 15px x 15px and with a transparent background.

Background Image

Your background image will appear in a tile pattern outside your site's content areas. It will display on all site pages, including static and project pages, except for your homepage.

To upload a background image:

  1. Go to Appearance > Logo, Icons & Images.

  2. Under Background Image, select Upload, and open your file from your PC.

  3. You will be able to preview this on your project pages.

We recommend using an image with a light background and minimal design. You can upload the following file types JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF.

Banner

Depending on your theme, banners will display on your homepage and project pages. You can change your settings to determine how this image will show on your project pages. Your banner should be a minimum of 1400px wide with a resolution of 72dpi or greater; if it is smaller than this, we will upscale your image to fit, which could result in some distortion. If you need to crop an uploaded image, ensure that the width remains at least 1400px after editing.

To upload a banner image:

  1. Go to Appearance > Logo, Icons & Images.

  2. Under Project Banner Override, select Upload, and open your banner image file from your PC.

  3. Choose your settings:

    • Show site banner on project pages: this will enable the banner image you uploaded here to display on your project pages.

    • Enable custom project page banners: this will allow you to upload banner images for individual project pages.

  4. Select Preview to check how your logo looks on your site.

There are several options for choosing your site banner settings:

  • Both options selected: Displays project banner on specific projects and site banner on the rest of the projects (in the absence of project banner).

  • No options selected: No banners will be displayed on the project pages.

  • Show site banner on project pages only: The site banner will be displayed on all project pages.

  • Enable custom project page banners only: Displays project banner on specific project pages and no banners on rest of the project pages
