Part of ensuring that EngagementHQ is accessible is ensuring that all elements and features are usable for keyboard navigators. Many people prefer to use keyboard navigation instead of a mouse, but it is essential for people who cannot use a mouse.

To help keyboard navigators, we have developed a Skip to option in addition to the standard keyboard navigation controls. The Skip to option allows users to tab past the header links and go straight to the page headings and content.

To use this feature:

  1. When a page has loaded, press Tab to see the Skip to menu in the top-left corner.

  2. Press Enter to open the menu.

  3. Press Tab again to move through the links.

  4. Press Enter on the link you want to go to.

Some pages, such as the homepage and surveys, have no header links to skip to. In this scenario, the user can Skip to content, bypassing the header links and going directly to the page’s body content.

If you use Safari and do not see this option, please enable Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage in Safari > Preferences > Advanced.
