Our integration from EngagementHQ into Campaign Monitor (CM) ensures you always have the latest list of your registered participants in Campaign Monitor. You can combine your EngagementHQ list with others to send your newsletters to all your mailing lists from one spot. If this is not a part of your regular EngagementHQ license and if you are interested in the integration, please contact us via chat or email us at support@engagementhq.com

What it does

The integration is essentially a sync between the two systems that occurs once per day and captures your verified, subscribed participants AND administrators.

You can create a specific list in Campaign Monitor to sync your EngagementHQ database to, making it easy to maintain your EngagementHQ-specific list in Campaign Monitor. Any groups you create in EngagementHQ will appear in Campaign Monitor as segments of your list.

How it works

Once the integration is established, EngagementHQ will update the list in your Campaign Monitor account once a day with new registrations.

Participant’s responses to your EngagementHQ registration form will also be synced with Campaign Monitor. Take this example of Althea Pollard (we have made her up). If we have her as a contact in our Campaign Monitor account, we can see that all custom fields are filled from our signup form in EngagementHQ, as well as some other data, like the fact that she has activated her account and was not blocked in EngagementHQ when we first imported her into Campaign Monitor. We can also see that she is part of the Female Only group that we created in EngagementHQ.

Below are the instructions to configure the integration. You are only required to do this once unless something in your account changes.

How to configure the integration

The below instructions assume that you have purchased the integration from us.

The integration is configured by yourself through an interface termed Saasler. When you purchase the integration, we will send you the necessary details to follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the URL we have shared with you. It is the domain that contains saasler

  2. Log in with the credentials we have given you. This login is specific to the configuration screen and will not work in EngagementHQ nor in Campaign Monitor.

  3. Select EHQ Details in the top right. Add your EngagementHQ login details.

  4. Select My Integrations in the top right and you will see a screen like below. To configure Campaign Monitor, click on the red button next to Campaign Monitor.

   5. Enter your Campaign Monitor login details.

EngagementHQ Authentication:

Campaign Monitor Authentication:

Please note that we are connecting with Campaign Monitor via a protocol called OAuth2.0. You are not sharing your login details with us, rather you log into Campaign Monitor via a popup, and Campaign Monitor sends us back an authorization token to be used to push your EngagementHQ participants into Campaign Monitor. This is important because it means that we will never have access to your Campaign Monitor password (or account for that matter) directly.

 6. You will be prompted to choose your Campaign Monitor client (in case you have more than one) and create a new list name. This will be the list name into which all your participants and administrators of EngagementHQ are synced.

And that's it. Now your participant database will sync with your Campaign Monitor contact list once a day. Please note that the very first sync will take a moment to run. You should check back into Campaign Monitor after about an hour or so to confirm that the integration worked.

Note: Any issues or questions you have about the usage of Campaign Monitor should be directed to the Campaign Monitor support team.
