There are various policy templates in your Site Settings that you’ll have by default. Your policy pages provide valuable information about your site, how you use information, and what rules your participants must abide by.

In your Site Settings, you’ll find the following policies:

  • Cookie Policy: details how cookies are used on your site

  • Forum Etiquette & Moderation: provides the rules of engagement and moderation for participants when using an EngagementHQ site. You cannot edit this.

  • Privacy Policy: includes, but is not limited to, what information you collect from site visitors, how you use it, and data security. You must edit this page to display your organization’s privacy policy.

  • Terms of Use: describes the terms and conditions of how site visitors and your organization can use your EngagementHQ site. You cannot edit this.

You cannot edit the Forum Etiquette & Moderation or Terms of Use policies, but we recommend consulting your legal team to configure your Privacy Policy or using one that your organization already uses.

Granicus has its own privacy policy, but we are not a legal team and you should always consult internally to make the policy specific to your region and organization. Your site visitors can access your policies via the links in your site footer.

To edit your policies:

  1. Go to Site Settings > Policies.

  2. Select the pen icon next to the Privacy Policy or Cookie Policy to edit it.

  3. Use the WYSIWYG text editor to change and format content.

  4. Save & Close when you’re finished.

You can also edit your Cookie Policy, Privacy Policy, Accessibility Statement, and Technical Support pages via your static pages.
