The Signup Banner widget is a banner linking directly to your Signup Form. The banner encourages new users to register and participate on your site, allowing you to capture registration data from your participants and them to participate on registration-only tools.
You can customize the text, colors, or image of your banner, which will only display to unregistered users. If a logged-in admin or participant visits the project, they will not see the banner, although admins can see it when they Preview the project.
The Signup Banner widget will only show once your site is launched and public.
To add the widget:
Select Add Widgets on your project page and choose Signup Banner from the Select Widgets menu.
Choose and configure either an HTML Banner or an Image Banner. The banner you select will display in the widget preview.
Save & Close the widget.
Preview your project to see how the widget looks.
Widgets are automatically saved and published to your project and listed in the widgets section of your project page. Because the Signup Banner automatically links to your Signup Form, you can only have one per project.
You can also use the dropdown menu to Show or Hide it on your project, the bin icon to delete it, or select the title to edit it.
HTML Banner
Although the banner is all one link, the HTML Banner consists of a Call-To-Action button and Banner fields and lets you customize the text and color of both sections.
Call-To-Action: the text that appears on the button section. It has a limit of 15 characters and will read REGISTER by default.
Banner: the text that appears on the banner section. There is a limit of 40 characters, and it will read to get involved! by default.
You can Choose the Color of each section using the color picker or entering a hex code. Changes you make will show in the widget preview before you Save & Close your changes.
Image Banner
You have two Image Banner options:
Select from image gallery: expand this menu to choose from a range of default image banners. You cannot change the text or colors of any of these images.
Select from device: upload an image from your computer. You can upload .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .gif files, and we recommend using a rectangular image that is 450px in height.
Add alt text to your banner using the Alt Text field so screen readers users know where the link will take them. Changes you make will show in the widget preview, before you Save & Close your changes.
