Your homepage has sections that can feature images, projects, tools, hubs, widgets, or other essential content. EngagementHQ provides 17 sections for you to work with, and most have several layouts so you can customize your site as needed.

This article will go through:

  • How to add a section

  • How to edit or remove a section, including an explanation of the tabs you can work with

  • The Content settings for each section

Add a Section

To add a section to your homepage:

  1. Go to Appearance > Home Page Editor, and you will see a preview of your homepage.

  2. Hover over the + symbol and select Add a section in the area you want your new section.

    Add a section button
  3. In the Add a new section menu, select the section and choose a layout. You can’t change a section once you add it; you’ll need to remove it and add a different one.

  4. The new section will be visible in the preview, and the configuration options open in the section list.

Edit or Remove a Section

To edit a section, you can either select Edit section in the preview or select the section in the list.

Each section has tabs for the different configuration options.

  • Content: Allows you to configure the content settings for that section. Each section has settings relevant to the content.

  • Color: Each section has color options relevant to the content. You can adjust the colors of elements such as titles, text, buttons, cards, and backgrounds. Use the color picker or provide a hex, RBG, or HSL code.

  • Font: Adjust the weight (Light, Normal, or Bold) and size for titles and descriptions. This tab is available for the Banner, Slider, and Register Banner sections.

  • Layout: Switch the layout you chose for this section.

There is also a three dots menu with the following options:

  • Hide this section: Keep the section and its content, but hide it on the live site

  • Move section up: Move the section one space up

  • Move section down: Move the section one space down

  • Delete section: Remove the section from your homepage. This will also remove any content settings.
